What it does
OV Kinos is a free site that lists cinema screenings in the original version (OV, OmU, OmeU) across Germany, and links to the cinema to book. OVKinosBot reads published cinema programme pages for it.
At the moment OVKinosBot fetches the programme pages of UCI Kinowelt cinemas. It sends this user agent:
OVKinosBot/1.0 (+https://ovkinos.de/bot)
How often
Usually one request per cinema programme page an hour. A fetched page is reused for ten minutes for every date it lists.
It backs off when a site asks: after a 429 or a 503 with Retry-After it pauses
that host for the time given; after a 403 or a challenge it pauses for 30 minutes, doubling
up to 24 hours.
How to block it
OVKinosBot obeys robots.txt (RFC 9309): the group for OVKinosBot,
otherwise the
* group. It reads robots.txt again at least once a day. To block it:
User-agent: OVKinosBot
Disallow: /How to verify it
Requests are signed with
Web Bot Auth
(HTTP Message Signatures, RFC 9421, Ed25519). They carry
Signature-Agent: "https://ovkinos.de", and the public key is published at
/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory.
