Comparison with earlier observations

No trend is calculated. A comparison needs two observations with fresh, complete source coverage, the same cinema catalogue, matching source providers and the same local collection hour. Partial coverage and missing dates can change counts independently of the programme.

Method and sources

OV Kinos saves one observation after the first scheduled programme pass from 06:00 Berlin time each day. The window is always tomorrow through the following seven calendar days. Screenings are deduplicated by cinema, date and source screening ID. Reports store public aggregates, not visitor or account activity.

Audio can come from explicit cinema evidence or matched film metadata, as counted above. An OV label alone does not prove that subtitles are absent. Source labels, known subtitle languages and explicit absence are counted separately. One screening contributes once to each table, so tables must not be summed together.

Published reports preserve their original observation and do not update when a cinema changes its programme. Source coverage is assessed when collected. New or removed cinemas invalidate comparisons until the catalogues match. Programme collection and limitations · Format definitions.
